2009 Essa Riverbank Salmon Derby is on September 19th & 20th.
OUR VISION: Conserving the environment: waters, riverbanks, fish and wildlife along the Nottawasaga River in Essa Township.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT: To protect and enhance the environment, and restore the Nottawasaga riverbanks and Fishing Parks in Essa Township with a focus to improve access and habitat for migratory salmon and rainbow trout.

About Us
The 1st Annual Essa Salmon Festival was held in 2003 as a Community event to bring visitors to Essa so they too could enjoy the natural beauty and quality of life this Township has to offer.

Essa Riverbank Salmon Derby Rules & Regulations
All participants must have a valid fishing license from the Ministry of Natural Resources. Participants agree to abide by the regulations of the Fish and Game Act, the By-laws of Essa Township, and the rules and regulations as set out by the Essa Annua
